Open in May of 2016, Daydreams and Tea - Through the Looking Glass has become a brilliant reflection of cherished heritage and nurtured curiosity.
The captivating boutique, located in Cleveland's renovated 1890 Arcade, is inspired by Alice's Shop in Oxford, which honors its most famous customer and the inspiration behind the stories, Alice Liddell.
With fine prospective heirlooms, life-size frames, and admired storybooks, Through the Looking Glass seeks to impart lifelong memories and rooted values to its patrons, especially the youngest ones.
"We encourage reading and writing in our store, so we have books and products to go along with them . . . The child then has that reminder that things aren't always replaceable, so we try to teach those values through our collectibles," explains owner Jennifer Cauffield.
After carrying Katherine's Collection's unique gifts in her other shops for over a decade, Jennifer knew she would include the brand's festive treasures at her new location this holiday season.
"The quality and artistry of Katherine's Collection designers are indeed remarkable. Their creativity draws one in and creates a fantasy world which delights adults and children alike."
For retailers who want to carry the Katherine's brand, Jennifer suggests establishing what you want for your clients, and then choosing a theme that will set the right tone. "Stick with a particular line that emulates, and your shop will allow that artistry to come through. Rather than picking different items through each collection, focus on a collection itself."
